Pine Mountain Gold Museum Winter Wonderland Train

Starting December 5th, each Thursday, Friday & Saturday during the month of December *weather permitting* you can take a ride on the Winter Wonderland Train at Pine Mountain Gold Museum. Rides on those days will run from 4 PM – 9:30 PM. Further information as well as tickets can be found here!

Miracle on Main Street Christmas Parade & Celebration

On December 6th, the City of Douglasville and Main Street Douglasville Program invite Christmas Paradeyou to enjoy the Miracle on Main Street Christmas Parade and Celebration! Starting at 6:30 PM in downtown Douglasville.

The parade will begin on Church Street near Ace Hardware and travel west on Church Street where it will conclude at Club Drive.

Immediately following the conclusion of the parade, the tree lighting will take place as well as live musical performances. Afterwards make sure you get your FREE photo taken with Santa and live reindeer! The event is always a community favorite and kicks off the holiday season in style!

Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with SantaThen on December 7th join the Douglasville Parks and Recreation for Breakfast with Santa! Santa’s stopping in Douglasville and wants to have breakfast with your family! Indulge in a delicious meal with Mr. Claus himself and enjoy pictures, holiday tunes and family fun! Plus, all children will be able to chat with Santa and give him their Christmas wishes! Important details below.

Limited availability, register today! The cost is $8 per person and children 3 and under are free. Everyone must be registered for the event, including parents. This event is intended for children ages 12 and under and their families. Register online by clicking here and select the Special Events tab.

Operation Christmas Toys for Tots Drop Off Location

From now through December 12th, the Douglasville Welcome Center will be a drop off location for Operation Christmas Toys for Tots! Please bring your new unwrapped donations to 12385 Veterans Memorial Highway | Douglasville, GA 30134. The Douglasville Welcome Center is open Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM and is located right next door to Fabiano’s Pizzeria.

Operation Christmas serves Douglas County children who:

  • receive free and reduced-price meals at school
  • are homeless
  • are in the Head Start program
  • receive WIC or other services at the Douglas County Health Department

The program has served over 36,000 children in the last four years at numerous venues. This year’s distribution will occur on December 14th.

America: Yesterday, Today & Forever – July 4th Festivities, Douglasville, GA

Join the City of Douglasville on Saturday, July 4, for our 4th of July Celebration. This year’s celebration and parade theme is “AMERICA: Yesterday, Today, and Forever.” This is a great family fun event! The annual parade starts at 10 a.m. and makes its way through Downtown Douglasville on Church Street. Afterwards, the public is invited to take part in a festival and barbecue sponsored by S.H.A.R.E House at Hunter Memorial Park. The day will conclude with fireworks sponsored by Gas South and GreyStone Power at dark. The best viewing sites include Arbor Place Mall and surrounding areas.
