The Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) had a busy summer this year! We will post soon to let you know all the awesome activities that await you in the coming months, but first – let’s take a look back over the events that took place in Douglasville this summer, hosted by the Douglasville CVB.
We kicked the summer off with our Summer Scavenger Hunt that encouraged residents and visitors alike to get to know their community, by taking photos with various landmarks and notable locations throughout Douglasville/Douglas County.
We had many great entries and hoped everyone enjoyed getting to take a closer look at their community! A big thank you to everyone who participated!
On August 20th the Douglasville CVB hosted the first Behind the Veil “Fall” Bridal Showcase, at the Douglasville Conference Center. We had over 35 vendors that provided attendees with information on various wedding necessities from DJ’s, event planners, tuxedo’s & wedding dresses, photographers, and so much more!
We wrapped up the summer with our Annual Family Reunion Workshop, September 9th at Hunter Park. We had over 50 people attend this year’s event. Each person in attendance was given an opportunity to speak with the vendors in attendance and ask questions to gain valuable suggestions and information, as they begin planning their reunions. In addition to speaking with the vendors, a “How to Plan your Reunion 101” presentation was also given during the event. The day was capped off by a catered lunch from Chick-Fil-A Arbor Place, and giveaways!
Be on the lookout in the coming weeks for information on the community events that will take place this fall in Douglasville!
